Sugar Free Granola
This sugar free granola recipe I enjoy it after lunch with some whole milk in a bowl reading a book. I love a crunchy granola with the sweetness from spices like cinnamon and carob powder. I have recently been reading about the connection between blood sugar spikes and our hormones. Having to high and low sugar spikes in our blood can lead. These effects mean the ratio of estrogen to progesterone (known for keeping us calm and happy) is way too high, leading to irritability, anxiety, insomnia and more.
So even if you don’t have diabetes I think we should all try and take control of our blood sugar levels. The glucose goddess has tips for balancing our glucose spikes.
Is this Granola Diabetic Friendly?
Many store bought granolas have added sugars like honey, corn syrup or brown sugar. All added sugars spike glucose levels as well as dried fruits. This recipe will make it easy for you to reduce sugar spike as the only ingredients are oats, egg whites and cinnamon, nuts and carob powder if you like.
What Makes Granola Stick Together?
Egg whites are the binder in this recipe and allows all the ingredients to evenly stick together.
How to Keep Granola Crisp?
Keep sealed in an air tight container in a cool dark place. Use within 7 days.
